Chesapeake has changed their Final Expense rates. You should begin using the new rates effective immediately. The new rates are available in “Resources” inside “Agent Gateway”. To learn about agent gateway, click here.
This change does NOT affect the following states until further notice: CA, CT, DE, IL, MD, MS, MT, OR, PA, UT
We are in the process of loading the new rates in Medicare Quote Engine, they aren’t there right now!
Here is an update on Chesapeake for Final Expense. Ritter Insurance Marketing is in the process of updating and upgrading the Final Expense portion of our Quote Engine to add some new carriers. Look for some new companies to be added by the end of this week.

Comments from Craig: I’m thinking that this program could have a very good application for those agents who are working with individuals via the phone and internet. Even in cases where you don’t want to drive an hour to get a final expense app signed. . . I will be adding CGI Senior Life to our Medicare Quote Engine shortly.
As a preview, we will be carrying the following companies on the MQE for Final Expense life:
- Royal Neighbors of America
- Oxford Life
- Chesapeake Life
- Citizens Security
- Continental General
- Monumental Life
Based on my analysis of the Final Expense market and available companies, I’m thinking this is a pretty comprehensive offeriing for this product category.
HERE IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM GREAT AMERICAN:
Our new e-App electronic application is now available in select states for Central Reserve Life (CRL), Continental General Insurance (CGI) and Provident American Life & Health (PALHIC) insurance companies for both Med Supp and Senior Life on our new agent website. Beginning June 25th, you can find the e-App for CRL, CGI, and PALHIC on http://agentview.gafri.com.
The e-App process is currently available today on AgentView for Loyal American Life Insurance Company® and United Teacher Associates Insurance Company.
With our e-App process there is no more printing and mailing! Just download an electronic version, fill it out and upload it when you are done! It’s more convenient for you, safe for your client and it speeds processing!
To access e-App, simply log into AgentView and follow these easy steps:
* Select e-App from the “Forms & Materials” menu. Select and download the application you want to your computer.
* Fill out all the forms within the e-App file and save a new file copy. You will need Microsoft Word.
* Log back onto the website and securely upload the completed application. The file will be checked for common errors and will be submitted for processing.
* Find recent e-Apps from the “Recent Submissions” option.
NOTE: When registering for the new website, if you enter your CRL, CGI or PRV agent number, remember to include the new prefix (BC00) immediately preceding your five digit numeric agent number. For example, a CGI agent number of 06931 (sometimes listed as CG06931) will now become BC000693.
One of the advantages of our new e-App is that you do not have to be online to fill out the application. You can save it on your laptop and take it to your client’s house (we do not recommend the client email you the completed application due to security and privacy issues).
You can also take the application over the phone. In either case, an electronic signature will be obtained from the applicant during the phone verification. Please keep in mind during the phone verification process, agents are not allowed to be on the phone with the client or coach them in any way. You, as the agent, can place the call for the client at the point of sale to speed processing and provide the basic information about the policy, but the client must personally answer all of the questions by themselves with the phone interviewer.
