As mentioned in my “Future of Medicare” Webinars, you can find great “market research” information by looking at the CMS data.
Here is a copy of the Spreadsheet.
NOTE: There are two “tabs” on the spreadsheet. The first tab is for ALL Medicare Advantage enrollment data and it is sorted by State, then County, then enrollment totals from highest to lowest (down to plans with 10 enrollments). The second tab is for PFFS plans that are being “non-renewed”. This is sorted by State, then County.
The spreadsheet is set up with filters, so you can select just the state/county you are interested in.
I hope this helps you plan your marketing for 2010!
Don:
First Health is a Coventry Subsidiary, but, in addition to writing Part D direct to Consumer, they also were used for Private Fee for Service.
In some cases, the First Health name was used to write retiree group PFFS business. In some cases, First Health was used to write individual.
Coventry is disenrolling ALL of their PFFS business, both individual and group, which is why I listed both companies as being disenrolled.
If you give me a county and state, I might be able to distinguish which is which.
Great,
I’ll be working in South Central PA. Mainly, York, Adams, Lancaster, Franklin, Berks, Bucks, Chester etc.
I’ll also be working in VA. Mainly Henrico, Henry, Rockingham, Shennandoah, Clarke, Frederick, Page, and Louden counties.
What’s up with First Health Life and Health Insurance Company.
Who are they?
When did announce that they were leaving?
Are they a Coventry subsidiary?
Do they serve everyone or just duel eligables?
Are they an SNP?
How much are their premiums?
I never heard of this company but it looks like they have a lot of enrollees in my area.
Any info? anyone?
Thanks!
Don,
I am not 100% certain but I believe First Health and Life Company is a Part D only plan and they are a Coventry subsidiary. I don’t think they offer Medicare Advantage(Part C) but I have seen them often as a Part D plan.
