To be sure that your clients’ enrollments are effective on January 1, 2009, it is critical that the Health plans RECEIVE the application by 12/31/2008.
If you are writing business on December 31st, 2008, you may want to do either Telephonic or Website enrollment (where available). At a minimum, you will want to have the application faxed to the appropriate place by December 31st. If you are mailing applications late in December, you will want to use overnight delivery to be assured that they are received in time.
