This will affect approximately 4,400 members in the AmeriHealth 65 Basic plan (a Dually-Eligible Special Needs Plan) in the following counties: Berks, Lancaster, Lehigh, Northampton and York.
These members will have options for other Special Needs Plans in these counties for 2009, including Geisinger Health Plan, Health America and Aetna (not all plans are available in all counties). Members will also have rights and protections to purchase Medicare Supplement insurance.
