United Healthcare OEP Training – Pennsylvania

OEP is at its “half-way mark” but there is still a lot of  opportunities for agents to take advantage of. United Healthcare is offering PA agents a second round of OEP training. The training will be about United Healthcare Portfolio of Medicare Products and will include the UNISON plans.  Registration is “one click” away at Ritter Insurance’s “Event’s Calendar”! (You must be logged in to register!)

2009 Medicare Advantage Commission Updates (2) – 10/20/2008

Refer back to the previous blog post for information on how the first year v. renewal will be treated.

Here is the latest, I expect to learn a lot more today and may update this at the end of the day.  I have talked with every company as of Friday, so if there is no news, that means nothing official has been released, even verbally.

  • Aetna – No news
  • Bravo – No news
  • Cigna – Paper Commission Schedules are Available.
  • Coventry and Subsidiaries (including Health America) – Agent level commission was given out verbally.  Paper commission levels were to be distributed early this week for agents.
  • Geisinger – No news
  • Humana – Verbally released agent level commissions.
  • Optima – No news
  • Unison – Same as United Healthcare
  • United Healthcare – Released agent level commissions.  Broken into 3 geographical areas, commissions are based on region.
  • Universal American – Released agent level commissions.
  • WellPoint (Anthem, Empire and Unicare) – Released agent level commissions.

We are EXTREMELY PLEASED to announce that Medicare Quote Engine (www.MedicareQuoteEngine.com) has been updated with ALL 2009 Medicare Advantage Plan data.  We are in the testing phase at this point, so please be patient!

This means, that for 2009, we will have:

  • 113,005 Medicare Advantage County/Plan combinations,
  • 12,581 Special Needs Plan County/Plan combinations and
  • 2,565 Stand Alone Part D Plan State/Plan combinations.

Essentially, you will be able to see every Medicare Advantage product that exists for 2009.  Additionally, we are adding new query capabilities to allow you to retrieve the plan types you are looking for.

Due to this massive expansion, we had to change some of the displayed information.  For those companies which we are contracted with, we will provide a link to the product page (https://ritterim.pbwiki.com/Ritter+2009+Medicare+Advantage+Products) for you to drill down and see very detailed product features.  For those companies where we do not have contracts to market, we will not link or will simply link to their homepage.

We are hopeful that we will be able to provide additional details on plan design features for these 125,000+ combinations before the November 15th AEP season begins, however, we cannot be certain.  In the meantime, you will have the resources to research your primary counties.

Unison Requiring Use of Attestation form EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY on all Medicare Advantage Enrollments
