CMS Mistakenly Sends BCBS Termination Notices to Over 38,000

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said Wednesday that, due to incorrect information, it mistakenly sent out termination notices to around 38,700 Medicare beneficiaries with plans from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Health Partners Plans to Enter Medicare Market

Here is a link to the article from Philly.com.  Health Partners Plans (formerly Health Partners of Philadelphia Inc.) operated Medicare advantage plans 6 years ago which were sold to Elder Health (which moved to Bravo, then HealthSpring and now Cigna HealthSpring).  They have now filed with CMS for new plans for 2014.
