AHIP 2014 Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare Part D (PDP) Opens June 24th, 2013

The AHIP certification will become available for 2014 on June 24th, 2013.  The 2013 certification will be closing on Friday, June 21st, 2013.  The certification website can be found at www.medicareonlinetraining.com

We are recommending that agents wait to begin their 2014 AHIP coursework until AFTER their top Medicare advantage carriers open their certification for 2014.  If you do the certification through an insurance company’s website, often times you can get the certification at a discounted rate (generally, $100), however, if you do the AHIP certification directly, you will pay $150.

Regardless of whether you complete the AHIP directly or through a carriers website, the certificate works the same way and can be used with any company that accepts or requires the AHIP training.  For example, if you complete the AHIP with Aetna, you can use the AHIP for United Healthcare, Humana, etc.

What if you do your AHIP through a company for a discount and then end up not selling any of their products? Would you need to pay the company the difference?

I know Humana will reimburse $100 after you write a few apps. That is the company I go thu. Also if you are looking for a way to track all your leads, and commissions, and generate reports from your Book of Business I found this great CRM software. I have been an agent for 10 years and never could afford these high price software but this is great. They give you a couple of weeks free to try it out. Here is the link. https://www.radiusbob.com/accounts/new/Agent-Advantage

I used this company to help convert my book of business to online. I am telling everyone about it because I looked for the last several years for something like this and I found it about a month ago.

I just checked on training for Med Adv and part D and noticed it costs $149.99 to take the course. I do not want to sell Med Adv just part D and I guess it is all the same. I guess I will have to continue my referral agreement only. I would have to sell 8 Part D’s to make my money back. I know of 2 and can do it but.
