CMS to Cap Agent Referral Fees for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D

CMS issued guidance last week to put a cap on referral fees, particularly those in the South Florida market. Obama Administration Pulls the Plug on the CLASS Act

The CLASS Act was a part of Health Care Reform which provided limited long term care insurance on a voluntary basis. The administration concluded that the program was not financially viable nor sustainable and pulled the plug on the program this past Friday. Here is a story from Bloomberg.

As of October 1st, Aetna completed its acquisition of Genworth’s Senior Supplemental business which includes Continental Life of Brentwood Tennessee, American Continental and some Genworth Medicare Supplement policyholders. You will now find the Aetna logo on the Continental Life website.
