AM Best Comments on 2012 Medicare Advantage Reimbursements

AM Best commented on the 2012 preliminary reimbursement numbers for Medicare Advantage. The 1.6% increase in the preliminary figures was higher than what was expected. The final number is not expected to vary greatly from the 1.6% figure given in February.
HealthSpring to Offer 7.5 Million Share Sale

According to the Wall Street Journal, HealthSpring will be offering 7.5 million shares in a public offering. Approximately 1/2 of the proceeds will be used to pay outstanding debt and 1/2 the proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Humana Seeks Deals for More Medical Providers
