The Senate approved a 6 month fix, but the House is yet to pass this, so the 21% cut will go into effect. Assuming the House passes this, I believe the payments will be restored back to June 1st, 2010. Here is a report on the story.

The Tax Extender bill is the bill which would fix the Doctor’s Fee Schedule for Medicare payments. The bill which failed would have added $80 Billion to the deficit.
