As a reminder, agents can qualify for reimbursement of the $100 producer certification fee by selling 5 or more Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans (with effective dates between 1/1/10 – 3/31/10) during the 2010 Annual Election and Open Enrollment Periods.
- Reimbursement is targeted for completion by the end of 2nd quarter 2010. Aetna will reimburse up to $100 per producer.
- Note: Prescription drug (PDP) plans do not count towards reimbursement, nor do plans sold during special enrollment periods or initial enrollment periods.
Remember, all producers are required to complete the certification program and be licensed and appointed before engaging in any sales-related activities involving Aetna individual Medicare products.
