Facing budget issues, Tennessee’s Medicaid program is seeking approval from CMS to cut services to it’s Medicaid members. Cuts would limit benefits for inpatient hospitalizations to $10,000 per year, limit the number of non-emergency hospital and primary care doctor visits to 8, eliminate physical, occupational and speech therapy and eliminate hospice care.
If approved, the cuts would take effect on June 1st, 2010.
