This is a problematic trend which hopefully won’t continue, but the Glendale, Arizona branch of the Mayo Clinic stopped accepting Medicare as payment for Primary Care effective 1/1/2010. This is due to the lower reimbursements which Medicare provides relative to Private Insurance. This will impact about 3,000 Medicare Beneficiaries.
