I found this letter to be interesting a a worthwhile read. It was written by the Insurance Commissioner in Oklahoma (a Democrat, I believe) to Oklahoma Senator Coburn. I found point #12 on the last page to be interesting in asserting that insurance premiums would “rise substantially”, however, due to “generous subsidies” the CBO’s conclusion is that insurance premiums would decrease. So, the reduction in premiums has little to do with lowering the real costs (and inflationary drivers) of health insurance, just additional government spending to pay for subsidies.
