When you are completing a Scope of Appointment, it’s important to remember that in the BOXES next to the Product type, the Medicare Beneficiary is supposed to put their INITIALS in the box next to the products they are interested in discussing.
Some Medicare Beneficiaries are simply putting an “X” next to the products they would like discussed, which is not correct.
Scope of Appointment through Concierge Line
For 2010, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has decided to require ALL agents to collect their Scope of Sales Appointment (SoA) information via the toll free Concierge Line. The SoA can be completed telephonically on the Concierge Line in two (2) ways:
You, the agent, can perform a three-way call between yourself, the prospect / client, and the Concierge Line. You would provide your Agent ID and associated information and the prospect / client would be required to answer all pertinent questions as to the products to be discussed.
You, the agent, can supply the prospect / client with the Concierge Line telephone number and advise them of your Agent ID, etc. The member can then call the Concierge Line and complete the SoA.
The Concierge Line will provide a reference number that can be indicated on the prospect’s / client’s enrollment form when submitted. The number for the Concierge Line is 1-888-425-8309.
