The Michigan State Attorney General was able to reach a resolution on the Rate Increase for BCBS of Michigan’s Individual (pre-65) Health Policies, however, no firm implementation date was given as this still needs to pass by the State Insurance Regulators.
However, there has been no progress on the 31% Medicare Supplement rate increase which BCBS of Michigan files. (I initially blogged about this here.) BCBS of Michigan currently has an eye-popping 210,000 Medicare Supplement policies in force. The next hearing on the Medicare Supplement rate increase will be September 14th, 2009.
