Aetna recently received very good news from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding initial compensation for 2009 Medicare Advantage and Part D Prescription Drug Plan enrollments. All PDP to MAPD applications for 2009 will be paid the base commission rate.
However, CMS also informed Aetna that they will need to make necessary changes to their tracking reports prior to first-year commission payments taking effect. While CMS has not provided a timeline for completing this process, Aetna will keep you updated on their progress over the next few weeks.
I still have not gotten paid for some initial payments from November… They say it is on the way, however, right now I am not going to hold my breath.. I did get paid for a MAPD that I sold in November after CMS decided that once someone was on Medicare & an RX plan that we were not going to get paid for those.. Then changed there mind (CMS) and the company sent the check.
DN,
Same happened to me. Coventry paid me for all applications that had a PDP on AEP and then chargebacked me those commissions. Its a waiting game now to get money…
The employees of Pennsylvania are complaining because they may have a “payless” Friday this week because the state budget has not been passed.
I would like to see these same employees wait 9 months to get their money.
Suggestion / Request: Many of us check this website, daily, to see if, by chance, someone, anyone, has received their second-half commissions. I think it would be an extremely kind gesture if we all commit to immediately notifying the readers of this blog that you’ve been paid. We don’t need details … just some encouragement that someone has been paid. Of course, it would be nice to know which company it was from and, if the commissions received was reasonably close to what you were expecting. Alot of us, myself included, really need something tangible to hang-on to right now … we’re all owed massive amounts of money … and it would just be fantastic to visit this website and read something positive, and definite, about this commission debacle. Hundreds of agents visiting this site would just feel like throwing a party! So, what do ya say … when we start getting paid, we’ll all gleefully post a quick note about it?
It is so refreshing to know that the Government does not put a time table on things. That the agents are all so wealthy that they do not mind waiting for the commissions to be paid.
That’ll drag on.
