To ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) marketing guidelines, Aetna Medicare has implemented a new process to monitor and resolve complaints against producers who sell their Medicare products to individual beneficiaries.
The new procedure will begin (or should I say, has begun) on July 1st, 2009.
To view the new procedure for agents who receive 5 or more complaints within a 4-month period, please visit our Certification Page for Aetna (the new procedure is near the bottom of the page).
My wife and I have been enrolled in Aetna Medicare Advantage since January, 2007. On August 4, 2010, Aetna told me I would be disenrolled as of 09/01/2010. I had NO CLAIMS during that period for perscriptions or medical. Aetna made more than $20,000 from the federal government on me alone. I wrote the federal Department of Health and the state of California Medicare Complaint department. Would you know that Aetna and its $28,000,000 a year CEO NEVER responded to me? The State of California AND the federal government responded.
I have a new provideer as of October 1, 2010. My wife is obviously leaving Aetna at the end of the year.
Those people that believe that the system before Obama’s new Health Plan is better, live in fantasy. If the CEO receiving a salary of $28,000,000 a year and $20,000 profit on me alone isn’t enough to help a consumer, than what is???
