June 8th, 2009 UPDATE: I’ve now heard that CMS has pushed out the corrected reports. I’ve updated that here.
I’ve heard this enough places to determine that this isn’t just one carrier. I think CMS messed up all of the carrier files and now is supposed to be working to “re-release” the new files for the carriers. No dates have been given. I know this is ridiculous. I’ve gotten some commission statements and even some payments based on the erroneous information and I waiting to hear if the commissions will be charged back or exactly what’s going on.
Honestly, it makes me sick to have to report this, but, I’m afraid we’re back to an indefinite waiting period on commissions.
I sent a note to the guy at the New York Times who interviewed me about 6 months ago about the changes to the Medicare Advantage system. I doubt this will make the paper, but it is a travesty of justice, imo. It’s plain wrong on so many levels. . .

To answer your question, it’s a CRIMINAL institution. Some have compared our current federal government to the mafia, but I disagree with that analogy, at least where CMS is concerned, since it’s my understanding that at least the mafia KEEPS THEIR WORD!
Just know this about CMS: They have NO intention of treating you fairly. On the contrary, they want to punish you for being involved in Medicare Advantage. They have very little to NO interest in doing what’s best for Medicare beneficiaries. Their primary objective under this administration is to drive private enterprise out of healthcare without being too blatantly obvious about it, by any means necessary.
My advise to you, or to anyone for that matter, is to get involved. You have 2 US Senators and 1 Congressman that need to hear from you that you oppose this administrations socialist agenda.
Our healthcare system is a long way from ideal, but if it wasn’t the best in the world, affluent citizens of other nations with the kind of socialized medicine Obama is pushing, wouldn’t be coming here for their healthcare!
Oh, and do NOT give the money back!
I have just received notice that I am in the negative about $500.00 because of all the corrections to commissions that have been distributed. I guess this means that the other half of those commissions are now GONE..
What type of institute allows money to be distributed and then takes it back months later because they later decided that they were distributing too much money and what is going to happen if all companies are allowed to do this – pay money and then have the opportunity to take it back.
