North Carolina (NC) Agent Arrested For Stealing Identities

National States Insurance Ratings Downgraded

The St. Louis Business Journal announce A.M. Best Co. has downgraded the financial strength rating of National States Insurance Co.  The ratings agency downgraded the company’s financial strength rating to C plus plus from B minus and its issuer credit rating to BB minus from B.  A.M. UnitedHealthCare to Terminate Carrier Agreements including Guarantee Trust Life

Effective April 1, 2009, Guarantee Trust Life, will no longer offer the Part D Prescription Drug products.  Access to UnitedHealthProducers.com, will be terminated for any agent using a Carrier writing number. CMS Publishes initial list of US counties which will need to be Networked for Private Fee for Service in 2011

Here is a link to the file:  http://www.cms.hhs.gov/PrivateFeeforServicePlans/Downloads/2011PFFSNetworkAreas.zip Bottom Line:  There are 3141 counties in the USA and 2503 will require a network (this number could go higher based on 2010 plans).  This represents about 80% of all counties at present.
