If you follow this blog, you may recall that the original 2010 Draft Call Letter was published on January 8th, 2009. Then the call letter was rescinded on January 22nd, 2009 and now the new Call Letter has been reissued (as of today). This letter is used by Medicare Advantage and Part D providers in formulating their bids for the 2010 Medicare Plans.
As I blogged earlier, CMS issued a much smaller than expected increase in reimbursement rates for 2010 last Friday which caused a sell off in the insurance companies which offer these products.
Other Dates of interest are:
- March 3oth – Final 2010 Call Letter is issued by CMS
- April 6th – 2010 Capitation Rates are Finalized
- June 1st – 2010 Medicare Advantage Bids are due from Insurance Companies
