A beneficiary may only enroll in an MSA plan, or elect to disenroll from an MSA plan during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) (provided MSA is offered in their area). An MSA enrollment election may be an ICEP (Initial Coverage Election Period) or a SEP (Special Election Period) or during the AEP. The effective date of coverage is determined by the election period in which an enrollment request is made.
