We received our first commission run for 1/1/09 effectives earlier this week. It’s very difficult to track what’s what because the commissions vary by state and by product. Plus, some amounts frankly don’t match up with any published commission. Add in the 2008 versus 2009 amounts and it’s a real jigsaw puzzle! Regardless, we are working through this and should have commissions out shortly.
The good news here is that Aetna is issuing commissions more frequently. Last year, if we had a problem, we had to wait a whole month to see if the issue was fixed, then if it wasn’t fixed we’d have to try again and wait another month to see if it was paid.
