And now more “good” news from Coventry. They will NOT be paying any commission on their Freedom 1 or Freedom 1B plan as of January 15, 2009. It is ridiculous. No agent will be able to write that plan without commission. Look to the end of next year for that plan to be discontinued. This all goes to prove that Medicare should NOT be handled by insurance companies. Leave it to the government and have secondary sold under state control.

By the by, when the doctors and RX are there, Geisinger’s PPO needs to be given serious consideration, lots of reasons this one is a winner.
Also, has anyone heard anything about approval of any commissions schedules by CMS? Everything I have seen so far is still subject to final approval. If not, do we know how much longer it should be until we know something? Just wondering as there are a lot of agents working really hard serving their clients and assisting them during this AEP and still no word on their comp schedules.
I’m talking primarily York and Lancaster County. Although I don’t know, I would think that in Berks, Chester and Montgomery it would depend on your provider acceptance. Their service awards seem to indicate that they would be good whereever they are in the marketplace. I just think that they have a big difference from other MAs with the Skilled Nursing.
Thank you Brenda Jo. When I say Geisinger I’m speaking about Berks, Chester & Montgomery Counties. Is Giesinger good in 1, 2 or 3 of these counties? What county are you talking about when you say “our area”? Thank you, Dan
Nobody has bailed us or these hmo’s out and they are regulating what we can make. But all the companies that have been given a hand out which after all said and done will be a trillion plus of our taxpayer dollars, no regulating there pay. What a joke our government and CMS, absolutely pathetic.
