Freedom 5 plus GAP and Plus OTC were showing in the Medicare compares when you go on the Medicare Website. They do not show in the kits. Problem is that many of us had been using the Medicare Website to learn the plans prior to getting the kits and were gearing up for having these products available. Plus Gap had generics through the gap and plus OTC had a small amount of OTC available as a benefit. Apparently they exist but are not agent products and are not commissionable.

Interesting. It's much like last year when First Health Part D first showed up on the scene as lowest premium PDP plan in the state and they were telling us it is was for group (I guess accomodating those in groups or coming off of groups). Since it was a Coventry product I wondered if I could represent it and was told that we couldn't.

I wonder if this is for the same kind of thing. They need it filed at Medicare to accomodate direct sales at the company in group or accomdations?

It seems silly that as agents we go out to the Medicare Website and do compares and start studying these products early as we rarely get the actual supplies until too close to the season starting and then there are products that can not be explained when questioned.

My understanding is that if a Medicare Beneficiary does their own compares on Medicare.gov and elects to enroll in a plan displayed that they can do so, directly right there at Medicare and they will be enrolled in these plans, so I wonder why an agent couldn't represent them when we represent the other products in the portfolios.

Now regular Freedom 5 is showing in our kits, so am I correct that agents will get compensated for that? (and it is only the plus gap and plus OTC that are not compensated)...
