Look very closely at the section on Nationally Recognized Designations (page 2-3). My understanding is that you will no longer be able to have on your business card, letter head, newsletters, etc., any designations which do not fall under the “Nationally Recognized Designations”. Things like “Certified Senior Advisor”, “Long Term Care” designations, Medicare Supp. designations, etc.
I haven’t been following this as closely as, I’m sure, as many California brokers are. I thought I read somewhere that there would be a transition period before you would have to shred your stationery with non-approved designations, but this isn’t contained in this document.
