Contratulations Craig on the success of your blog! The up to date information you provide along with the outstanding support of your entire agency helps so many of us stay informed and do a better job for our clients. Thank you!
Craig — You are doing a fantastic job with this blog. I work with many agents who are all working very hard to keep up with the ocntinual and last-minute changes that are all being driven by politics. I believe that the the politicians are losing site of the medicare beneficiary and what is actually in their best interest. Just like other agents commenting in the section on Rep Pete Stark, we as agents are so appreciated by the customer. They can see all the hard work we do on their behalf. Agents start preparing for a very limited “not the best timing” election period way before we are allowed to speak to the client. This involves hours and hours of countless training and certification, printing of pdfs from companies, studying changes, running medication lists, studying medicare rules and nuances and we work very long hours. All of this is done well in advance and here we are at the last minute not even knowing what our compensation will be this year. Yet each year more and more expense becomes the agents. It is so nice to have a place (your blog) that you can refer to, and get more up-to-date info that affects us and the marketplace during an already trying time for scheduling. It is nice to see someone who is interested in the independent agent. I find myself wanting to check your blog daily as it is always so informative and I get real opinions from real people who actually work with these products and the many rules and regs that apply. Thanks again for all of your great information.
