The rate increase for West Virginia has been approved. There is a 25 % increase for all plans. The effective date for the rate increase is October 5, 2008. Please refer to the points below to determine which rates should be applied. • All Medicare Supplement applications dated before August 1, 2008, regardless of effective date, will receive the current 2007 rates. • Any application dated on or after August 1, 2008 requesting a certificate effective date before October 5, 2008 will receive the current 2007 rates. • Any application dated on or after August 1, 2008 requesting a certificate effective date of October 5, 2008 or after will receive the new 2008 rates.
